Clap out a beat with this charming wooden hand clapper. Children simply hold the long handle and shake or tap it to snap the castanet halves together, creating a crisp, rhythmic sound that’s instantly rewarding. It’s a wonderful first instrument for little ones discovering how movement turns into music.
Simple and satisfying to play, it gently introduces toddlers to rhythm, timing and cause and effect, while helping to build hand-eye coordination, grip strength and fine motor skills. Kids can keep time to their favourite songs, echo a beat back to a parent or teacher, or join in with a group for a lively music session. Made from smooth, sturdy wood in a soft light green, it feels lovely in small hands and is built to handle plenty of enthusiastic play. It’s a beautiful addition to a Montessori-style music basket, classroom, early learning centre or kids’ band at home.
